The renowned actor Richard Mansfield was suspected of being the serial killer ‘Jack the Ripper’ by some.

Richard Mansfield first took to the stage at St. George's Hall which was a theatre in Langham Place, London. The theatre was closed and the building was demolished in 1966.

A theatre programme dated the 9th of June 1885 tell us that the comedy ‘The Palace of Truth’ was performed on this date. Copies if the programme are still available and can be found here.

The writer of ‘The palace of truth’ was W.S. Gilbert.
His partner’s first home, leads you up to the group,
W.S. Gilbert’s famous writing partner was Arthur Sullivan. Sullivan was born in Boswell Terrace, Lambeth. Boswell relates to the name of a Scottish Clan called the ‘Clan Boswell’
