Shakespearean actor William Kempe morris danced from London to Norwich in 1600.

Lead on to a carver whose way finds moles near?
There is a wood carving in Chapelfield Gardens, Norwich by Mark Goldsworthy which commemorates Kemp's journey.

Goldsworthy Way in Wadebridge is near to Molesworth Street.

Was where you are stationed once a bat to irk?
The fire station off Goldsworthy Way used to be an abattoir.

Frank left in 46, it's his surname you search.
Frank Marshall retired in 1946 from the Wadebridge and District Abattoir.

A stay in a meadow, this town has a lane,
Marshall Meadows is a hotel in Berwich-Upon-Tweed. There is a well known lane there called Dewers Lane.

And once it was painted by he you must name.
Dewars Lane was once painted by the artist L. S. Lowry.

So sit down beside him and take in the view,
There is a bronze statue of Lowry sat on a bench in Mottram.
